I am back

I am back
Lots to post about, life has just been too heck to sit and write. Even now as I write there are about 7 to 10 things I should be doing rather then this. And topping that list is rest… I have been really sick with strep throat and chest congestion. So sick that the doctors have put me on one week of bed rest; that is really hard to handle for an active person like me.

Anyway posting again is the desire of my heart.

Special Thanks

Special Thanks

I need to take this time and give special thanks to our dear Lord for the wonderful results that my Aunt just received. You see my aunt received a diagnosis stating that she had uterine cancer and that it was a very aggressive strain.

If the cancer was contain in the uterus that would be good, but if it was found outside of the uterus then she would need chemo and radiation. Well on October 17, 2005 she was informed by her doctor that the cancer was indeed contain.

To this day I can’t help but smile when I think of her. You see my aunt is a special lady, a clean living God fearing lady whose presents means a lot to a lot of us; and who doesn’t deserve to endure such a horrible disease .

God is good and we are thankful for His love and mercy. This has made life a little more precious to each of us then it did a month ago.

Wedding Bells

Wedding Bells…
Well another special event that happened recently was the marriage of my nephew. He and his bride could not decide on the pieces of the wedding until one of them suggested getting married on the coast; more specifically Pebble Beach near the water.

So on October 14, 2005 we all ventured to the coast and experience and very nice and very different wedding. The only ones invited to the wedding were very close friends and family. There were about 25 or so of us and things were very casual.

On the cliffs of Pebble Beach we all gathered around them as they took their vows to love honor and cherish one another forever and ever. It was really peaceful and nice. The only thing that was not working in our favor was the weather. Fog and clouds had blown in and dew fell on us as we stood by and watch. But it didn’t dampen our spirits, we were all shining bright.

It was great to see old friends and family and to meet new family. The bride’s side was very inviting and made us feel very much a part of the group. A la Familia!

Give me a break...

Well last weekend my husband and I went to see the new block buster Flight Plan. I thought it was a great thriller. It has some very interesting twists in it that kept you guessing the whole way.

The one thing that I was upset about was the They were so zealous to get everyone hooked to see the movie, that I felt that they gave away a very important plot point. I felt that it would have been so much more exciting if I didn't know this one thing before going in. (I will tell you later, after you have seen the movie). All in all, it was a great way to spend the Saturday afternoon.

I was really suprise when I looked at the paper on Friday and noticed that the airlines.. more directly the stewardesses and flight attendance were upset by the movie and felt that it put them in a bad light... Give me a break, it was just a movie.

My eye coverings...

Just an update on the ole contacts, they are doing good (not great but good). I am now sleeping in them and it is really weird how quickly you get a custom to this foreign object in your eye. Other then my eyes being a little dry in the morning I see no real difference.

Last Friday we tried a stronger lens in the right eye (the one I use for close vision) and that is going to take some getting use to, but all in all, I think I am going to like it.
