I am soooo excited that my family (and friends) are coming home for thanksgiving....I miss them all so much.
It will be nice to kick back and talk and eat and talk and eat some more and of course sleep and eat :o)

Tradition is good, and of course with Italians it means a lot, so ready or not, let the holiday begin.
Hugs and kisses await you all.

With the events of the past few months we all can realize how quickly the precious things in life can be taken from us; and the pyramid of society can crumble around us.

This year more then ever...
With a thankful heart I echo the words of my father..."I'm glad I am who I am" and I say, Thank you Lord.

THANKSGIVING WEEK
A time for reflection and a heart filled with Thankfulness for: health, happiness, love, friends, family, God, and his Son (who gave so much for us).

And for simple things like children, and old people, sunny days and rainy days, sunsets and sunrises; the down times so we can appreciate the up times and darkness so we can appreciate the light; the shoulder of a friend in time of need and the laughter of a friend in time of happiness.

And I am thankful for that ability to look back and realize where I have been and I am thankful for the ability to look to the future with great anticipation for what lies ahead. For all this, I am THANKFUL.

Perspective is everything:
An English professor wrote the words, "Woman without her man is nothing,"
on the blackboard and directed the students to punctuate it correctly.

The men wrote: "Woman, without her man, is nothing."
The women wrote: "Woman! Without her, man is nothing."
"I do not seek to follow in the footsteps of men (and women) of old;
I seek the things they sought."
Basho

I didn't have anything profound to say this morning, so I thought I would give you one of my favorite quotes.
Happy Friday :o)

You know that sometimes it seems that God does not care (or get directly involved) in the daily things that happen in our lives; and then there are those other times when he seems to have his finger on us all the time. I guess He know why and when the time is right, we just have to trust him.

Life just seems so different now after all the events of 9/11. Still, good in my life... just so very different and so intense. I guess this helps us focus on how precious and special life truly is.

I appreciate the opportunity to be here...right here and now.
